Payment:

There is a $25 registration fee per family due at the time of registration.

The first months payment is due at the time of registration.

All tuition is due by the 7th of every month, except for June, which is due in May.

If payment is received after the 14th a $5 late fee per class will be charged to your account.

Any student that is two months behind on their account will not be permitted to take class until the account is brought up to date and paid in full.

If any checks do not clear, you will be charged a $35 penalty/bank charge fee.

Class Cards:

Class cards are available for adult classes only.  Cards that are available for 5 classes must be used within 2 months.  Cards that are available for 10 classes must be used within 3 months.  If a card has expires you may still use it for an additional $3 per use.  Class cards may be limited to adult classes that are non-performance classes. Class cards are to be held onto by the student.  Performance Studios is not responsible for lost or stolen cards.

Performances:

There will be a $30 performance fee for each family.

The office will hold all recital tickets and costumes previously purchased until all accounts are paid in full.  Failure to make sure that your account is settled by June 7th means that participation will not be permitted in the performance at the end of the year.

All costume and recital fees are non-refundable.

We will make every effort to keep performance fees as reasonable as possible, and we will notify you as soon as we can what these fees will be in order for your budget purposes.

Please keep in mind that workshops and shorter classes sessions may result in showings instead of full-scale productions.

(Please keep in mind that our performances are a team effort.  Failure on any student’s part will affect not just themselves, but all other performers as well.)

Excessive absence could result in a students inability to partake in performances.

Enrollment Policies:

At performance studios we have an open enrollment policy.  You are able to register at any time of the year.

At the time of enrollment the first month’s payment is due as well as the $25 registration fee.

Any person being registered after February may not be able to participate in the year-end performance which is at the teacher’s discretion.

Please use our age groups as a guideline for placement and feel free to call us to discuss any scheduling concerns you may have.

Class Cancelations:

We reserve the right to cancel any classes due to insufficient enrollment.  If this occurs Performance Studios will make every effort to help you make alternate arrangements.  If alternate arrangements cannot be made you will be given a refund for any classes that was not held that month.

Make-up classes:

If you are going to miss class for any reason we ask that you please notify our office before class begins.  If you miss a class due to illness or personal emergency, you will be able to schedule a make-up class with the front desk. When scheduling to take a make-up class you will have the option to take the same style with the next level down (example: BAllet III students can take ballet II; Combo II students can take a Combo I class) or a different style with the same age group.  If you take private lessons scheduling make-up lessons with private instruction will be at the discretion of the instructor.

If only one student is present in class they will receive a shortened private lesson not to exceed half the class.

No refunds will be given for missed classes that have not been rescheduled.

Withdrawing from class:

If you choose to withdraw from class we require notice in writing at least 1 week prior to the end of the month.   If you choose to withdraw from a class in the middle of the month no refund will be given.

Weather:

We will be announcing class cancelations 30 minutes prior to the start of your class.  You may call the office, check our website, or check our facebook and twitter page to find out if class is to be canceled.

No refunds will be given for canceled classes due to inclement weather.  If class is to be canceled due to inclement weather, please see the front desk in order to make arrangements to be able to take a make-up class.

Dress code:

We ask that all students please follow the dress code. If a student comes to class and is not dressed properly they maybe be asked to sit and observe the class for the day.   We ask that no jewelry be worn to class, as this is a safety hazard.

You are able to order dancewear through the studio.  Please see the front desk for pricing information and order forms.

Teacher’s absences:

If an instructor is unable to be in class we will be sure to provide you with an equally qualified substitute for your lesson.  If a teacher is ill and a substitute cannot be provided Performance Studios will provide make-up lessons for missed classes.

Parking Lot:

Student Safety is a top priority at Performance Studios. Please be sure to help us keep your children safe! We ask that children wait inside while waiting to be picked up by their parents.  If someone new will be picking up your child please let us know!

Parking Issues form:

If any client has an issue with parking in our lot, our standard issue is that we are staying out of all problems but we will let the landlord know about the issues.

If they wish they may fill out a Parking Issues Form so they we have a written record of the occurrence.

Classroom Behavior:

  • There is to be no gum, candy, food, or drinks (other than water) allowed in the studio.  We ask that if you have these items in the waiting area you please help us keep the area neat and please dispose of your items.

  • Electronic Gadgets of any Kind are not to be used during class. This includes cell phones and ipods.

  • It is very important that students be on time for class.  We ask that students be at Performance studios 5 to 10 minutes before class so they have time to get changed and use the restroom before class begins.  If a student needs to leave early for class they need to let their instructor know at the beginning of class.

  • It is very important that students follow the dress code.  A student who comes to class and is not dressed properly they may be asked to sit and observe the class for the day.   We ask that no jewelry be worn to class, as this is a safety hazard.  Having a dress code allows teachers to observe the body to make sure alignment is correct and to help prevent injuries.

  • Safety of our students is a number one priority at Performance Studios.  All students should wait inside with their instructor until a parent or guardian arrives to take them home.

  • We ask that every student be courteous to everyone at Performance Studios.  Hands should be kept to themselves at all times.  If any student participates in any rough-housing they may be asked to leave class.  The same holds true to gossiping and talking about other students.  At Performance Studios we encourage a positive atmosphere for all students!

  • Students who do not follow classroom rules will be excused from class. If bad behavior becomes a frequent problem, the student may be expelled from class. Guardians will be notified prior to expulsion

Waiting Room Etiquette:

The waiting area at Performance Studios is open to the studio.  We ask that anyone in the waiting area please be respectful of this fact and keep noise and activity levels down.  Parents are invited to stay and observe from the waiting room but we encourage you to remain in the waiting area and not hover over the students who are in class.  This causes students to lose focus or feel pressured, and can also affect a student’s behavior in class, especially with our younger students.  If you wish to observe class at a closer distance we ask that you please discuss it with a students instructor first.

Lost and Found:

Performance Studios is not responsible for any lost items.  Performance Studios keeps a Lost and Found in our student coatroom.  We suggest that you write your name in your belongings, such as shoes, so that if your item is lost it can easily be returned to you.  Valuable items that are lost will be kept with the front desk.

Photography/Videos

At Performance Studios we do videotape and record our dances for promotional and public relations activities as well as take pictures of our students during class and at studio events. If you do have an issue with this, please let the front desk know. All photographs taken of students are available for purchase.  Please see the front desk for purchasing information.
